WHAT ARE MAJORS & COURSES?

We built Parent University Omaha off of the same style an actual college does on putting in the hours of Course until you major in one of the areas of our 4 Majors.

In college a Major is a group of Courses (classes) required to be completed by a student in order to receive a degree.

Now you won’t get an actual college degree but what you will get is the real-life skills that are equal to making a lifetime and even a generational difference in your families lives. That’s what we at Parent University Omaha are all about. Connecting individuals and families with skills to make our children lives and education whole and complete.

'Daddy Talks' is life

Major #1: PARENTING

Build strong relationships with your children as they grow and develop. These courses are for parents of children birth to eight-years-old, but what you learn helps with all ages.

Major #2: School Success

We show parents how to navigate through the school system. Learn how to be your child’s best advocate in and out of school. If you have a special needs child, this strand is also for you.

Major #3: LIFE SKILLS & WELLNESS

This Major will help gain new skills to get a better job, obtain your GED, manage money and lower stress. Take our ESL classes to improve language, reading and math abilities.

Major #4: LEADERSHIP

Take an active role in your child’s education. Learn new ways to get involved and have a say in your school and neighborhood.
