Each family is assigned an Educational Navigator to assist with goal setting. Parent University is about helping families meet their identified needs. Educational Navigators meet families at places most comfortable and convenient for families. They also assist families learn essential child development and life skills. All Educational Navigators were interviewed and selected for hire by parents on our Parent Advisory Council.

We strive to provide a high-quality early childhood setting in our classrooms. Participants have access to our childcare onsite while they participate in a Parent University course. Our Child Learning Classrooms help children from birth to age 5 learn in a safe, healthy, and caring environment. Children participate in numerous activities to promote Kindergarten readiness and Social-Emotional Skills.

Parent University has a variety of courses to select each semester to best support our families’ needs.

Reading and being knowledgeable about resources are important. Through our partnership with the Omaha Public Library families can receive a free library card and access to check out books and toy kits. Families are encouraged to use computers and printers to search for jobs, do school work or work on resumes. Resource pamphlets and brochures are also available for families to take to stay informed about community resources and offerings.
